Web Construction

Del is the MAN!!!

I have been looking to attempt a website for a loooong time, only to be put back by $$ issues as well as time and life. But thanks to my brother, we are in business! So, for this inaugural / test blog, I felt it pertinent to regognize the man that made it all possible. Thanks Bro!

Change is in the air

One of the hardest things in life to deal with is change… yet it is happening all the time. I notice everything from our weather to friends around me. It is hard to believe that there is as much change as there is – we get so used to our surroundings only to see them shift, alter or dissolve altogether. So the real question is how we are going to handle that change.

The BIOS is too much to handle

Rick, oh, sweet Rick...

Most of you that may read this will know that Rick and I might seem to get into trouble when we spend a little too much time toghether --- but who knew that it could extend into the very guts of a computer?? A BIOS is a tiny peice of software that runs your ENTIRE computer ---- and every once-in-a-while you may need to update it. If you mess this up, you send your computer back to the manufacturer and beg for forgiveness.

I am not sure where to start with all that happened, so let me simply break it down.

It's all about connection

The longer that I am around people, the more convinced I become that humans are desperate for connections with other humans. Why do you think that cliques form? Why has myspace been so big? It is because we are desperate for relationships. We know that we were created on the basis of relationship – we know that God desires for us to be in relationship with Him. We also know that we need friends, people that will stand with us.

Fear

I have to admit - I am a little afraid of writing about fear. There is simply sooo much to be afraid of – just think of all the bugs! (computer bugs are what I am really afraid of – but at least bugs are more attracted to rotting apples)

What's so fun about Christ?

One of the weirdest things that I have ever dealt with in regards to my faith is the element of fun. Some people think that when a Christian is having fun they must be sinning while others think that if a Christian is not having fun and , in general, being bubbly something is wrong with their faith.

I love my PC

Sorry to post again about computers - but i just had an almost horrible experience. I was going through my video files on my computer - organizing, etc. - when all of a sudden --- they were gone. There was stuff i still needed to use for walkage, shooting mac magazines etc. all just gone. I had clicked the wrong folder (i was about 1mm off) and it was all gone - not the recycle bin - completely gone.

Thanks be to God i am using a PC. I have been able to recover most if not all of the files. God bless the PC. Didn't even need Norton Utilities...

want to be my friend?

I love that a true friend will last for a lifetime. I talk a lot about what it means to be a true friend – how a true friend will help you even when it hurts, will stick up for you even when it means they get hurt. About how they will tell you the truth and how they will kick you in the pants in order to help keep you on the right track in life. True friends are hard to come by.
